Blank Apparel Made Better.
Meet the Owner - Tara Matheron
An adventure enthusiast at heart, Tara launched Radish Apparel in 2023 after recognizing the desire of local businesses seeking blank apparel that reflected their values of environmental stewardship, fair wages, ethical labour, and Canadian manufacturing.
She first took matters into her own hands as co-founder of Relish Apparel in 2021 after a lengthy search for Canadian made garments that didn’t have 100+ order requirements, limited colour selection, and plastic based materials. Unable to satisfy her own sourcing needs for her outdoor adventure group, RadMums, and tech start-up—she partnered with a local designer to make her own. The company grew quickly receiving orders from the University of Toronto, Local Laundry, Teagan’s Team Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser, Bowness Soapworks, and many other local Calgary businesses.
However, similar to many great journeys, the business evolved and with different visions at heart, the partnership ended and Tara began a new venture backed by the encouragement and support of local businesses and makers. Her dream wasn’t over…
With the launch of Radish Apparel (a name suggested by her son who says everything she does is “Rad”), Tara brings new and improved patterns and fabrics, along with a highly skilled team of Calgary-based seamstresses. Paired with a strong belief that great fashion shouldn't come at the expense of the environment or people, Radish is dedicated to delivering quality garments that not only make you look good but also feel good about your choice.
Let’s dream bigger (and better) together and make your garment dreams come true!
